The Beginning of Something Bigger

August 2026

In a few days, my sales team will begin onboarding the first restaurants for TableTaps — a Restaurant Operating System I've spent months building.

People might see this as another startup.

For me, it represents something much deeper.

Every restaurant that joins TableTaps carries the lessons of every failure I've experienced over the last several years.

This company wasn't built overnight.

It was built through countless sleepless nights, failed startups, rejected investor meetings, long train journeys, coding sessions that lasted until sunrise, and the determination to begin again every time life said "stop."

This is not the story of someone who always won.

This is the story of someone who refused to quit.

The Boy Who Hated School

I was born on 6th November 2003 into a simple middle-class family.

If someone had met me during my childhood, they would never have guessed that I would one day build software companies.

Until Class 3, I hated school.

Every morning became a battle.

My father, my uncle and my elder brother often had to drag me to school. Sometimes they even had to beat me because I simply refused to go.

At that age I couldn't understand why they were so strict.

Today, I thank them.

If they hadn't pushed me during those years, I might never have developed the discipline that later helped me survive entrepreneurship.

Sometimes the things we dislike the most become the foundation of our future.

The ₹1 Pepsi

My family never had unlimited resources.

My father worked incredibly hard to provide for us.

One of the ways he earned money was by making and selling ₹1 ice pops, commonly called ₹1 Pepsi, from our home.

At that time, I never imagined that this small business would one day become part of my own story.

Years later, people would use it to mock me.

Today, I wear it with pride.

There is no shame in honest work.

Watching my father work every day taught me something that no classroom ever could: business isn't about money. It's about solving problems and working harder than anyone else.

"I Want To Become A Businessman"

In 2018, while studying in Class 9, our teacher asked a simple question:

"What do you want to become?"

Students answered with the usual professions—doctor, engineer, teacher.

When my turn came, I answered confidently:

"I want to become a businessman."

The classroom erupted in laughter.

Some classmates mocked me by saying,

"Yes… you'll become a businessman selling ₹1 Pepsi."

They were referring to my father.

That moment hurt.

But it also became one of the strongest motivations of my life.

The funny thing was… I had absolutely no idea how I would become a businessman.

I simply believed I would.

The Teacher Who Changed My Life

Around the same time, I started spending more time inside the computer laboratory than inside regular classrooms.

There I met Mr. Virendra Mahto, my computer teacher.

He introduced me to a simple programming software called C-Turtle.

For the first time, coding didn't feel difficult. It felt magical.

Watching a few lines of code create something on the screen completely changed my thinking.

That was the moment I fell in love with technology.

I didn't realize it then, but this single introduction would shape my career forever.

Choosing My Own Path

I completed my Class 10 board examinations with 82.2%.

I wasn't obsessed with marks. I was obsessed with learning.

I initially wanted to pursue Polytechnic in Computer Science but couldn't secure a government seat.

I joined I.Sc. in Hazaribagh.

Within a short time, I realized it wasn't where I belonged.

I returned home and joined I.Com. instead.

Everyone questioned my decision. Relatives laughed. Neighbours criticized me.

Many believed I had ruined my future.

The only person who never forced me to change my decision was my father.

He was worried. But he trusted me.

I already had a plan: learn technology, master coding, build businesses.

The First Line of Code

In January 2020, I received another opportunity to join Polytechnic through the final counselling.

Before leaving home, my father suggested choosing Civil Engineering because it offered stable government career opportunities.

But I chose Computer Science Engineering. It was one of the biggest decisions of my life.

Soon after joining college, I entered the computer lab and began learning HTML through YouTube tutorials by Manoj Saru.

The very first thing I built was a simple HTML table.

To most people it was insignificant. To me… it proved that I could build things with code.

That day, I stopped seeing programming as a subject. I started seeing it as a business tool.

Fresh2Veg — My First Startup

Only a few weeks later, I had my first startup idea: an online platform for ordering fresh fruits and vegetables.

I called it Fresh2Veg.

I didn't even own a laptop. So I built the first version on my mobile phone using WordPress.

Then COVID-19 changed everything.

During lockdown, my father bought me a laptop after seeing my dedication.

Not because we were wealthy. But because he believed in me.

Later, Fresh2Veg evolved into FreSab (Fresh Milega Sab) with a partner from my village.

Eventually we shut it down—not because the idea was bad, but because we didn't yet understand scaling.

My first startup had failed. My entrepreneurial journey had truly begun.

COVID Changed Everything

While the world slowed down during lockdown, I sped up.

I spent countless hours learning web development, programming, business and product development.

Every tutorial became a classroom. Every project became an experiment. Every mistake became another lesson.

Looking back, COVID wasn't just a lockdown. It became my biggest learning phase.

Building Myself

Instead of rushing into another startup, I focused on improving myself.

I learned new programming languages. Built personal projects. Explored app development, backend systems and modern technologies.

Every project increased my confidence.

I wasn't just learning to code. I was learning how to build products.

The Shark Tank Dream

In 2022, I entered the esports industry with an esports fantasy platform.

The idea progressed all the way to the Shark Tank India Season 2 selection process.

For a boy who had once been laughed at in school, reaching that stage felt unbelievable.

Unfortunately, the Indian gaming landscape changed.

Several games were banned, making the business commercially unviable. The startup had to be shut down.

It was another difficult moment.

But by then, I had already learned something important: every ending creates space for another beginning.

Building Hardware

Towards the end of 2023, my friends Alok and Sonu joined me to build an IoT startup.

We created a GPS tracking solution for bikes and cars.

We successfully built both the hardware prototype and the mobile application.

We travelled. Met investors. Presented our vision.

Despite our efforts, funding never arrived. The startup stopped.

But my confidence didn't.

Stylelands

Freelancing introduced me to people from around the world.

One of them was Balakumar, a Sri Lankan entrepreneur based in the UK.

Together we built Stylelands, a complete salon booking ecosystem.

I wasn't only writing code. I was helping build an entire company.

We officially began onboarding salons in January 2025.

Everything looked promising. Then funding became the biggest obstacle.

Despite months of effort, we eventually had to shut down Stylelands.

Another dream had ended. Another lesson had begun.

Stylewears

Entrepreneurs rarely stop dreaming.

In October 2025, together with my friends Lawchan, Anil and Sonu, I started Stylewears, a streetwear fashion brand.

We booked a commercial property. Travelled to Mumbai and Delhi. Met manufacturers. Worked on branding, sourcing and business planning.

The deeper we went, the clearer reality became.

Launching properly required ₹20–30 lakh. That was beyond our reach.

With support from my friend Sagar in Bengaluru, we explored every possibility before finally deciding to stop the business in January 2026.

Closing another company wasn't easy.

But sometimes the smartest business decision is knowing when not to continue.

Breaking Down… and Starting Again

After several businesses had ended, I felt frustrated.

There were days when I questioned myself.

Was I making the right decisions? Should I stop building startups? Should I choose a safer career?

Eventually, I realized something: failure had become part of my education.

Every business had taught me something no university could.

Instead of quitting… I rested. Then I started again.

Decoders Entity

Although I established Decoders Entity in 2023, it truly found its identity in 2026.

I wanted to build more than just another software agency.

I wanted to create opportunities.

We began hiring interns. Mentoring fresh developers. Building real-world products together.

Creating a healthy, pressure-free work culture where learning is valued as much as delivery.

Today, around 15 interns are part of Decoders Entity, growing together while solving real business problems.

Watching them learn reminds me of the student who once spent every possible moment inside a computer lab.

TableTaps

Every failed startup eventually led me here.

TableTaps isn't simply another app.

It is a complete Restaurant Operating System designed to help restaurants digitize and simplify their operations.

Everything I learned over the years—technology, product design, customer experience, sales, operations and entrepreneurship—has been poured into this platform.

For the first time, I don't feel like I'm building just another startup.

I feel like I'm building the company I was always preparing for.

The journey has only begun.

The Journey Continues

People often ask me,

"How many startups have you built?"

The better question is,

"How many times were you willing to start over?"

Over the past several years, I have built and contributed to numerous products, including Fresh2Veg, FreSab, RoomLat, FuelsWay, Ryngr, HerShield, Stylelands, Stylewears, TableTaps, along with many client applications and internal software projects.

Some became startups. Some remained products. Some failed. Some are still growing.

Every one of them taught me something.

If there is one lesson my journey has taught me, it is this:

Success is not built by avoiding failure.

It is built by refusing to let failure become the end of your story.

I was once the boy who got laughed at for saying he wanted to become a businessman.

Today, I am still chasing that dream.

And this is only the beginning.
